Exclusive Partnership

 ºÚÁÏ³Ô¹Ï State University has partnered with Kansas City University to develop the new MSSU – KCU Early Acceptance Program (MKEAP). Through this exclusive partnership, up to 25 ºÚÁÏ³Ô¹Ï students will be admitted to KCU’s new Joplin medical school at the same time they are accepted to MSSU.

Imagine preparing for medical school your freshman year of college – and already knowing you’ve been accepted. MKEAP allows for a seamless transition into medical or dental school after three years.

INCREDIBLE FACILITIES

Learn in newly renovated state-of-the-art chemistry and biology labs and classrooms in Reynolds Hall.
Study human anatomy in one of the largest cadaver labs in the area in our Ummel Technology Building.
Work in the Human Simulation Center found in Julio S. León Health Sciences Center to help develop clinical skills.
Off-campus, Joplin has two major hospital systems and several other medical systems are located within 45 minutes of the city, making it a critical medical hub in the four-state region.
ABOUT JOPLIN

MSSU’s spacious 365-acre campus is located on the northeast side of Joplin, Missouri. MSSU’s campus is just walking distance from Northpark Mall and a short drive from a rejuvenated and remodeled downtown.

There are plenty of things to do beyond the borders of campus:

  • Join in walking downtown Main Street every month for a culture fair called “Third Thursday”
  • Attend concerts, art showings, live theater and movies
  • Get involved and volunteer in the Joplin community
  • Enjoy go-karts, batting cages, painting classes, bowling alleys, mini golf, hiking and bike trails, skating and more!
  • Attend professional and pre-professional sporting events in town by watching the Joplin Crusaders (football) or Joplin Demize (American Soccer)
